For The Love Of Natural Beauty
This work aims to establish an emotional connection with my audience through vulnerability. It is so important for me to foster the friendships I make with my models in order to create a safe space.
I hope to promote solidarity between myself, and each of you, to embrace our insecurities.
I am focused on body positivity, empowerment, intersectionality, and painting the body in a positive light. I like to put heavy emphasis on the little things such as pimples, goosebumps, body hair, tattoos, etc. Too many times are we shamed for our “imperfections” that exclude us from having the “ideal” body.
The future of this project/my photography as a whole will grow to have more diversity.
Studio Portraiture
Escaping Pressure
This new body of work is about finding moments of serenity and happiness. My goal is to document my friends, family, and myself within fleeting moments of freedom. I aim to capture our best times, our days in the sun, and the little pockets of togetherness where we can be at peace while navigating the pressures of life in our current climate.
This series focuses more so on faces than the body. I am hoping to highlight the importance of tranquility, and the nurturement of our mental health.
I label this as Candid/Semi-Candid work because I’m not trying to just take portraits, I’m trying to capture an essence. My camera is there, everybody knows it’s there, but I don’t always make it known when I am actively using it. Candid photography is another passion of mine, and I hope to continue on with the project over the next however-many years to come.
A Candid/Semi-Candid Project
Just For Fun
I fully believe in passion projects, and the joy they can bring. I don't have a lot of time to dedicate to it, but I love it. So when the time comes, It will be exciting to get back to it.
Animals are so precious, we have probably all said "I like pets more than people."
For me, this really started because I used to live next to a dog park. Every morning I would bring my bulldog mix, Fiona to the park. During this time, I met a lot of interesting people, and some of the cutest friendly dogs.
One day I thought, why not? So I took my camera over, and asked if I could photograph their dogs. If I have my camera out, and I see a cute dog, I'm absolutely going to ask for pictures, regardless of location.
I would definitely expand this to other animals, but for the time being, it's a doggie dream.
